Granted, Vilano boards are great, but are they greatest? I’ve tried and researched into the cheaper segment of iSUPs and what I ended up with is this: Best Cheap Inflatable Stand Up Paddle Boards (2020).
Quick Overview For The Hasty
The Vilano Navigator 10’6 iSUP board measures 10′6″ x 32″ x 6″ (length x width x thickness), weighs 25 pounds and has weight capacity of 280 pounds. The package comes with everything you need to get on the water.
Who is this for? The Vilano Navigator 10’6 iSUP board is ideal for the average sized paddlers, but given its width, it’s stable enough for even the slightly larger paddlers weighing up to 250 pounds (280 if you’re streching its limits). It’s a simple all-around type of inflatable paddle board, so it’s viable in almost all water conditions, but meant more for flat waters.
How’s the performance? The Vilano Navigator 10′ 6” iSUP is mainly stable but also maneuverable. As an all-around, it’s clearly not designed to be a racing board, so when it comes to speed it’s moderate.
You might be wondering if a cheaper iSUP is worth it, to which I’d say it’s a rare gem, you’re in safe hands.
Who And What Is The Vilano Navigator 10’6 iSUP Designed For?
- Who: for beginners or intermediates weighing less than 250 pounds.
- What: all-purpose (all-around), everything to some extent.
This fine paddle board is meant for beginners/intermediates of all ages weighing less than 250 pounds. Altough it’s an all-around, you’ll get the most out of it in flat waters as it’s not geared towards anything specific but is rather just a bit more stable of a board being 32 inches wide.

How Does The Vilano Navigator 10’6 iSUP Perform?
The performance of the Vilano Navigator 10’6 iSUP:
Vilano Navigator 10’6 iSUP is a good mix of length (10ft 6in) and width (32 inches) which make it mainly stable and at the same time decently fast and maneuverable for an all-around as it’s lightweight (25) on top of all that. It’s also 6 inches thick which make it a tad bit more stable.
Overall, the Vilano Navigator 10’6 is fairly stable, a decent all-around type of inflatable paddle board for the average sized paddlers and even the slightly larger paddlers.
How Have I Conducted This Review?
In my journey of understanding the world of SUP I’ve come across yet another SUP board, the Vilano Navigator 10’6.
I’ve simply documented my findings while researching into it – it has turned into a review of sorts.
What Are The Specifications Of The Vilano Navigator 10’6 iSUP?
1 – type:
Vilano Navigator 10’6 iSUP is an all-around type of paddle board. This means it’s viable for almost all water conditions. But bare in mind that it excels at flat water conditions when compared to other water conditions. One can use it for fishing, for doing yoga, recreational paddling in general and even some river riding or, heck, surfing.
2 – construction:
This paddle board is an inflatable. This means it’s filled with air. This is why the Vilano Navigator 10’6 iSUP is so lightweight (25 lbs) and thus easy to transport & travel with. It can be deflated and rolled up or pumped up with air to 15 PSI for optimal performance.
3 – length:
The Vilano Navigator 10’6 is 10 feet and 6 inches in length. It neither too long nor too short of an all-around.
4 – width:
It’s 32 inches wide. Width dicates how stable a board is side to side. 32 inches is considered to be relatively stable for an all-around even in the case of the slightly larger paddlers.
5 – thickness:
6 inches thick. Thicker boards are generally more stable and feel more sturdy than thinner boards.
6 – weight:
Vilano Navigator 10’6 iSUP is lightweight weighing 25 pounds.
7 – weight capacity:
It supports people weighing up to 280 pounds.
8 – value:
Vilano Navigator 10’6 is one of those rare gems that offer a great bang for the buck.
What Is The Vilano Navigator 10’6 iSUP Made Of?
Vilano Navigator 10’6 iSUP board is made of:
- single layer PVC material
It has a drop stitch core and 1 pvc layer around that with a foam deck pad on top. The rails also have PVC tape material connecting the top and bottom half of the PVC layer around the drop-stitch core together. A single-layer construction is not ideal, but for smaller paddlers casually wanting to enjoy the activity it’s close to ideal. It’s when a considerably larger paddler happens to use this board – the board might not support such weights very well.

What Are The Features of Vilano Navigator 10’6 iSUP?
Here are the features of the Vilano Navigator 10’6 iSUP:
- bungee storage area
- deck pad
- carry handle
- D-rings (4)
- D-ring (1)
- fins (1)
1 – bungee storage area:
There are 4 D-rings to which a bungee net is attached to. This makes up a storage area where you can store the paddle or personal items for safekeeping when paddling about. It’s located at the nose of the board.
2 – DeeP eva deck:
Covering basically what’s half of the board is the non-slip EVA foam deck pad. This is where you can safely and comfortably stand on when paddling.
3 – carry handle:
Located at the middle of the Vilano Navigator 10’6 iSUP is a carry handle. This is for handling the board outside the water.
4 – D-rings: (4)
There are 4 D-rings for attaching a kayak seat or a storage box (not included in the package) to the Vilano Navigator 10’6 iSP.
5 – inflation valve:
As with every inflatable, Vilano Navigator 10’6 inflatable SUP also has a valve. This is where you can fill the board with air and also the spot where you can release the air in order to roll it up for easier storage.
6 – D-ring: (1)
A single D-ring located at the rear of the board just next to the valve. This is usually used for attaching the ankle leash to the board.
7 – fin: (1)
Vilano Navigator 10’6 iSUP comes with 1 detachable bigger fin. It’s the only fin on the board. Having just this makes it easier to roll up the board.
What Else is Included With The Vilano Navigator 10’6 iSUP Package?
In short, the Vilano Navigator 10’6 iSUP package includes a paddle, backpack, pump, ankle leash, shoulder strap and a repair kit.
A relatively generic adjustable (66″ – 86″) aluminium shaft SUP paddle is included in the Vilano Navigator 10’6 iSUP package. The paddle doesn’t float, but it does fit in the backpack. Learn more about SUP paddles here (link opens in a new tab).
Backpack carry bag
Vilano Navigator 10’6 iSUP package includes a backpack carry bag for storing and transporting the whole package.
The package features a handpump with which you can pump up your SUP to its recommended 15 PSI. A pressure gauge is on top of the pump to see the current PSI inside the board as you pump.
Included in the package is an ankle leash that can be attached to the single D-ring at the rear of the board next to the valve. You might not think much of it, but in the more rough waters it can come handy. It’s generally not advised to use one in flowing waters with entanglement risk however.
This is a convenient addition that lets you attach the shoulder strap to the two D-rings for easier transportation while the board is inflated.
The Vilano Navigator 10’6 iSUP package has a repair kit that consists of PVC patches and a valve wrench. This repair kit ensures that you have help within reach.
So Is The Vilano Navigator 10’6 iSUP For You?
It’s a surprisingly decent all-around inflatable paddle board meant more for flat waters and for beginners/intermediates weighing less than 250 pounds. The set includes everything you need to get on the water, though these items are not of excellent quality. What’s good about it is that it has good customer support and documentation.
Vilano Navigator 10’6 iSUP is one of those rare gems that offers a good bang for the buck. There’s only one other cheaper SUP brand I’ve come across to offer so much value for this cheap.
The only real downside would be if you weighed considerably more than 250 pounds that it might not suit you well.
Where To Buy The Vilano Navigator 10’6 iSUP Package?
Best way to buy stand up paddle boards would be from physical shops. That way you could gain much needed info, advice and tips from the enthusiastic sellers there (assuming they were enthusiastic…).
If purchasing from a physical store was not an option, there are still online stores to check out.

Good bang for the buck, Vilano Navigator 10’6 infaltable stand up paddle board package has a beginner weighing less than 250 pounds covered. It’s mainly meant for flat waters, but surely it doesn’t hinder in some light chop and/or flow.
From what I’ve seen, Vilano as a brand cares for its customers and at least has tried to solve their problems (the same can’t be said for some other cheap SUP brands).
Vilano mainly deals with bikes, but that hasn’t stopped them from chiming into the world of SUP. Considering the quality of their budget bikes, I’d be afraid to go for a budget SUP of theirs, but given the reviews and other people’s opinions about it, it seems to be a safe bet after all. They’ve done something right with this paddle board.
The Vilano Navigator 10’6 iSUP package includes relatively generic accessory items: adjustable non-floating aluminium paddle, handpump with pressure gauge on top, backpack carry bag, ankle leash and a repair kit.
There is no particular warranty information available apart from a mention of a 1-year warranty along with good customer support.
